Col. (res.) Moshe Leshem, a founding member of Gamla Shall Not Fall Again, told Arutz-7 today that in light of the fact that Sabbath night meals have become a preferred target of the terrorists, "we have no choice but to simply be more prepared. The government is responsible for prevention, and when it wants to, it can do a good job, such as the liquidation of [Hamas arch-terrorist] Makadme in Gaza this week But inside the yishuvim [Yesha communities], we have to keep the doors locked, no matter how trivial this may sound... Secondly, we must have our weapons ready. I myself, during my Sabbath meal, always have my gun on me Thirdly, everyone must talk with his family about what each family member should do in case of an attack - whether at a meal or while driving on the road. This does not signal 'panic,' but rather preparedness..."
Leshem said that communities should put more emphasis on physical barriers that impede terrorist entry, as opposed to electronic means that merely give warning that a terrorist has entered.
