"The United States intends to invade and occupy a nation that has not attacked us..."Pat cannot possibly know if the above statement is true. When the dots are all connected it may turn out that Iraq was a funder and silent partner of 9/11 and the anthrax mail. If the administration knows this from sensitive sources, they would not say it for fear of losing the source.

The words aren't exactly the same, but the structure is carbon copy of Robert Fisk. A few opening paragraphs on a subject, then a discourse about Israel and the "Israeli Lobby" Oslo, nothing about Arafat, Arab countries who don't want peace, etc. etc. He's really got a hang-up about this.
And never talks about Kashmir! ;)

Speaking of Kashmir...
NEW DELHI, March 4 (IslamOnline.net) - Elated over former U.S. president Bill Clinton's suggestion to resolve Kashmir issue on Irish model, Hurriyat Conference Monday, March 3, said it would dispatch a letter to Clinton asking him to take up the role of a mediator for the final settlement of Kashmir issue, reported Kashmir Times Tuesday, March 4.
~SNIP~
The former Hurriyat Conference chairman said former U.S. president Jimmy Carter was ready to help in the resolution of Kashmir issue.
He said some members of Carter Institute were trying to visit Kashmir to take an on-the-spot-view of the situation.

It is a tough question, do we hit Syria next, or Iran?

I am hoping that we get so bogged down in the region that we are "forced" to replace the governments of Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Syria and form the nation of Kurdistan. We establish viable democracies all over the region and come home.

Brother Buchanan still doesn't get it.
The plan is to keep the pressure on the Arab radicals and Islamic fundamentalists and not allow terrorism to have the ability to strike at the American homeland. Keep them busy, overthere!
Hey Pat, remember what your old boss said back in 1994:
"The Democrats may remember their lines, but how quickly they forget the lessons of the past. I have witnessed five major wars in my lifetime, and I know how swiftly storm clouds can gather on a peaceful horizon. The next time a Saddam Hussein takes over Kuwait, or North Korea brandishes a nuclear weapon, will we be ready to respond? In the end, it all comes down to leadership, and that is what this country is looking for now."
***Ronald Reagan
Buchaanan acts like he's forgot the lessons he learned working for Presidents Nixon and Reagan, during the latter half of the Cold War. Wake up Pat!

Buchanan, like all the network pundits and the Hollywood guilt-liberals, makes it much more complex than it is.
The military mission is to DISARM the Iraqi military. Pure, simple, straightforward, clear. The exit strategy is just that: disarm the military, then leave.

Or for a different perspective:

We're not the imperialist, wer're the anti-imperialist. Our goal is not to build the next great empire that lasts for thousand years, but to lift the human destiny beyond the need of empires and tyranny.

Maybe not, but he certainly dislikes Israel and is 100% against anything that benefits the Jews. And don't tell me I'm wrong... Pat's a good guy, minus his mild anti-Semitism.
I think Pat was turned off by the American Jewish liberals hounding of Nixon and also by the influence Israel was able to exert on the US congress which he witnessed during the Nixon administration
