US should realise Pak source of terrorism: Advani Press Trust of India

New Delhi, February 16

Accusing ISI of Pakistan as a source of terrorism, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today suggested that the sooner the United States realised this, better it would be for that country.

Flagging off a 'Sadbhavana Rath Yatra' here, Advani said that the entire world, especially the democratic countries, had realised that Al Qaeda and Taliban were dangerous and they were the source of terrorism.

These countries were now "alert", he said and remarked "but Washington does not have the same feeling about Inter-services Intelligence of Pakistan."

"The sooner Washington realised this, better it would be for them, he said adding "May be this would once again cost them dearly."

He recalled that Gen Masood of Afghanistan, who was killed in an ambush, had two days before the September 11 attack cautioned the United States that it must take steps to contain Al Qaeda, Taliban and ISI failing which it would have to face serious consequences.

The United States did not pay much heed to his warning and had it done so, the September 11 attack could have been averted, Advani said.

It would be difficult to wipe out terrorism till the masses stood up against the menace, he added.

And if you believe this I have a bridge to sell you.

Just last week the US was deeply concerned about the ISI. They are/will be the source of the UAV's that terroists will "purchase abroad" and apply domestically to disperse WMDs.

The US and India will one day be friends. Can't see how it could turn out any other way. We both have a common enemy. Unless India wants to go it alone, and do that by antagonizing the US, as it has in the past, we will end up allies. It may not be a genuine friendship, but one of convenience. No matter. As bad as our common enemy is, we may not have to be friends in order to take advantage of an alliance to thwart and destroy our foe.

Are you a fool? The BJP understands full well the threat of Islamic terrorist, of Iraq, because India is a victim of it, e.g. Kashmir. Are you a fool?

Pak is becoming more of a threat to the US than it is to India. India seems to have reached an "acceptable" level of pak-based terrorism. Pak can't hurt India without getting hurt themselves. This is not the case with the US. Paki establishment and it's anti-American citizens have been harming us but suffer no consequences. Indeed, they enjoy the status of a "staunch ally". We should wake up.
