I thought the AG was MICHIGAN's attorney, not GRANHOLM's.

Me too! It show's Michigan's Attorney General has a big cox to stand up to the Governer.

I'm sure that before Granholm, then Michigan Attorney General, filed her brief in the Court of Appeals supporting UM's affirmative action plan, she checked with conservative GOP governor John Engler, an opponent of the UM system, aren't you?

Since when does a state's Attorney General obligated to defend state laws he believes violate the US Constitution. The people of Michigan elected him to exercise judgement, not to be a mere robot.
