This article does not reflect a sufficient understanding of statistics. Two-thirds of all Italians are direct descendants of Julius Ceasar and half of all French and Germans are direct descendants of Charlemagne -- or of anyone else who lived there back then.
There are no living descendants of Julius Caesar, unless from unacknowledged illegitimate children. His one legitimate child, Julia, died in childbirth, and the baby died; his supposed son by Cleopatra was put to death (probably too young to have had any offspring).
I believe the Mughal rulers of India claimed direct descent from Genghis Khan, but I don't know if there are any men alive now who can claim direct male descent from the Mughals.
