I'm overwhemed by the futility of this action.
Really, what does making anti-war slogans out of hordes of naked women hope to accomplish? Has the build up to war slowed down one bit? Does Saddam feel any safer? Are the powers behind the war worried about naked women forming letters?

>>>Most people just laugh at this. The anti-war message is lost! Not that I want to help the left, but there has got to be a better way to "spead" their message.

The futility of this event is dramatic. The left is completely out of ideas. All I hear is false, unsupportable assertions from the Left. They are truely out of ideas.

Well... out of ideas and this draws media coverage. I think on one level these protests are mocking the fact that the media likes to showcase naked women anyway- and this way they're at least getting a message out at the same time. 700 women holding signs is boring. 700 naked women... now that has more newsworthy potential.

If someone has any background on how these protests got started, I'd like to read about it. I posted on another thread that it had its roots in a "shaming" practice in some parts of Africa where women in the village would appear naked in front of men who were misbehaving as a way of showing collective disapproval. So who imported the custom?
