AS MARK THOMPSON of Time magzine writes, "Every war has it's wonder weapon. And in an upcoming war aginst Iraq, we are told to "get ready to meet the high-power microwave." The way Thompson describes it, the "HPM" sound almost too good to be true: They "fry the sophisticated computers and electronic gear necessary to produce, protect store and deliver [chemical and biological] agents. The powerful elctromagnetic pulses can travel into deeply buried bunkers through ventilation shafts, plumbing and antennas. But unlike conventional explosives, they won't spew deadly agents into the air, where they could poison Iraqi civilians or advancing U.S. troops."

In an effort to underscore the humanitarian nature of the microwave weapon, scientists at the Air Force Research Laboratory are working on a version that not only would spare civilians, but actually leave them with a hot, tasty and cholestrol-free bowl of popcorn.

AS MARK THOMPSON of Time magzine writes, "Every war has it's wonder weapon. Did Time magazine print it this way? Unbelievable!!!

But... no!!! I go at the source and... it looks like it was Commander8's mistake. (sigh of relief)
Why not simply copy and paste this stuff?

Yup, its a real disgrace!
But seriously, Time used to pride itself on its use of the English language, which set a standard for American society. Founder Henry Luce must be spinnin'.

My wife picks that stuff out all the time. She finds it everywhere. Drives her crazy.
(If she saw my posts here she would faint)
