Student Challenges School's Ban On Pro-Life T-Shirt

CNSNews.com) - A Pennsylvania student is fighting for his right to wear pro-life clothing to Abington Junior High School.

In November, the school principal told the student to either cover his "Rock for Life" T-shirt or turn it inside out. The shirt carried the following message: "Abortion is Homicide. You will not silence my message. You will not mock my God. You will stop killing my generation. Rock for Life."

The principal said the message was inappropriate, unacceptable, and he compared it to a swastika.

The student and his mother contacted the Thomas More Law Center, which sent a letter to the school, explaining the student's "clearly established constitutional right to wear his pro-life clothing."

The Law Center noted the student's T-shirt did not cause any "substantial and material disruptions," and therefore there was no legal basis for restricting the student's speech.

The Law Center wants the school to provide written assurance that the boy will be allowed to wear the shirt to school, and it has asked the school to respond by the end of the week, before a federal lawsuit is filed.

If the kid would be a good little satanist, perhaps wear KISS [Knights {Kids} In Service of Satan], fine! Fine! If the kid wears a pentagram depicted a blood sacrifice, fine. If the kid wears a tee shirt saying, "Proud Baby Killer", that might be allowed too. A hundred demonic faces on your tee shirt? No worries. "Demon-Lover". Fine.

He won his lawsuit.

Likening pro life message to a swastika. Horrifying to say the least.
