Many aircraft are not insured. A good friend of mine works for one of the largest aviation insurers in Florida, and he refuses to take accounts with certain flight schools because the flight schools either skimp or do not get complete (required) coverage for their aircraft. BIG schools, too. It's not uncommon. I don't doubt this is the case with this one.

Ought not the state of Florida have some standards for certain businesses. It would seem that flight schools ought to have some basic requirements, such as insurance.
I wonder who was financially responsible when the young man took off in the plane that crashed into the building in Tampa?
