These remarks were made by the President this morning so I thought we should see the actual words instead of press spin on what was said.

As I said, this looks like a rerun of a bad movie and I'm not interested in watching it.Telling it like it is. AND taking a shot at Hollywood. No wonder I like this guy so much!

He speaks in clear terms...says what he means and means what he says. The rest of the world doesn't like that..not diplomatic enough. The whiners will whine, Bush will lead. His attitude this morning was quite clear...he's had enough crap from his "friends" and "allies"...he knows they are babies that are incapable of making a decision. He will adjust accordingly and probably already has. Amen!

BUSH: ...Make no mistake about that, he will be disarmed. Sounds like soon to me.

Bush also has said the U.N. was impotent during the '90's and stopped doing the job they're suppose to do. He's trying to get the U.N. back to work.
No doubt the '90's just offered them a democrat welfare check and they became lazier socialists than they already were. Vey Clintonian.
Bush is trying to get them back off their butts and start paying attention to the real world. "Put down the bongs, boys!"

Quote of the Day material!!!
This business about, you know, more time -- you know, how much time do we need to see clearly that he's not disarming? As I said, this looks like a rerun of a bad movie and I'm not interested in watching it.

No, I answered it. The courts will make the definition of the outer limits of the -- Thanks for flagging me to what Bush said about affirmative action. Bush is not right in saying the courts will necessarily decide this issue. In Bakke, when it had the issue, the Supreme Court punted, as Bush is doing now. Justice O'Connor may well follow the lead of the administration briefs to write an opinion making up a majority that is as opaque as Powell's opinion in Bakke was.

Frankly, I wish the White House had never pursued the WMD angle for going after Iraq. I'm reading WAR OF REVENGE about Saddam's continuing war against America, and there is a strong indication that Iraqi agents were involved in the planning and execution of the first WTC bombing in 1993 (the head of the NY FBI field office that investigated the bombings believed that Iraq was behind it), and hence, were likely involved in the 9/11 attacks. The reason Saddam should be deposed is that he's gassed his neighbors, gassed his own people, invaded neighboring countries, has lobbed missles into Israel, has violated every provision of the ceasefire to the 1991 Persian Gulf War, continues to shoot at our warplanes patrolling Iraqi skies, supports terrorism by making payments to the families of suicide bombers against Israel, and is a murderous thug. It may be that a direct link between Saddam and the two attacks on the WTC cannot be made with certainty, whereas there may be hard evidence of Iraqi WMDs. But regardless of whether Saddam has or is producing WMD, there is sufficient reason to take Saddam out.

Thanks for this and the many other goodies you post on FR. (And your insightful comments.)
I had to smile when I saw you'd underlined the final sentence about the rerun of the bad movie that he didn't want to watch. I had been copying and pasting excerpts from the press conference to print for a friend, and I had underlined the "rerun" remark on its earlier mention. GMTA
