I have a question. How many of the attorneys that got a death penalty conviction were later disbarred or suspended? How many of the judges were removed or suspended or penalized in some way in these convictions? An outsider looking in on this thinks he made a very hard, wise decision, especially in this climate of fingerpointing and blame.

The next governor, to save his butt, would be placing blame on Ryan for not doing anything about a system that was broken.

Wrong on both counts. It wasn't hard for him because he's not a conservative; and wisdom considers particulars rather than making one-size-fits-all decisions.

If I was in his shoes, I'd would have resigned in disgrace years ago and pleded gulity to causing the deaths of dozens of motorists by giving liceneses to incompentant illegal aliens. Only then could I live with myself for what happened under my watch as Secretary of State.

Sure makes a hell of a lot more sence if he wants a "legacy" standing up for "innocent" people that could be killed.
