No, this is the fair and balanced ideal. Only one problems, Ellen is neither fair and she is to extreme to balance anything.

The strangest thing of all is that the more Ailes leans to the far left with his new hires, the more the other media attacks FNC for being conservative. Go figure! I have noticed that too. Now let's be honest, they are less conservative now than before... oh ooh, I meant to say more fair and balanced, so is it just the fact that they are winning the ratings war that makes everyone call them the conservative channel, now?

Wouldn't it be ironic if all the left's moaning and groaning is what has driven new viewer to FNC!
To: Congressman Billybob
The medium is the message and the message of Fox News is "fair and balanced". So you shouldn't be surprised or upset. Should they ever elect to adopt the message "precise and accurate" you will have a point.
Until then, one party rule of the DemocRATRepubliCON variety continues unchecked.
Didn't North Carolina just elect RINO Senator Liddy Dole to the Jesse Helms seat?
Best regards,

Ratner isn't portrayed as a reporter. She's a commentator.

I've read the posts on this thread, especially yours, and have changed my opinion on Ratner's presence on air. Y'all are right and I was wrong. As the engineers say, "Nothing is ever a total failure. It can always serve as a bad example." So as vile as Ellen Ratner and her opinions are, my position in being on-air with her in the future will be exactly as you suggest. I will repeatedly cite her as an example of why hard-core Democrats are fools, deserve to lose, and will lose. Occasionally I will congratulate her for her excellence in entirely missing the point.
Since I will get a shot at Ratner (for about 10 minutes) almost every Thursday morning on "American Breakfast," perhaps I can do some good by taking this approach. Thank you for contributing to my education.

It is the classic problem of marketing the "unmentionables" years ago. You never saw ads for tampons, or prophylactics, so how to market them? (Get the other channels to complain about you and spread the word) Brilliant! (and free)

Fox News had an ideal opportunity to get rid of this politically-bigoted and hateful "reporter" by not renewing her contract. Instead, they signed her on again. Good!
Keep her out there, front and center, I say! Milquetoast liberals don't energize folks against them as well as the obnoxious ones do. ;)

...I think FNC keeps her around as the Poster Child for Hateful Liberalism...
I concur.
I wrote Fox about the Ratner rants but have come to realize just how shallow she actually is. She is educated but igorant. She is confident when spewing the DNC line received just before air tiime, but when the subject strays from her script, it is obvious in her hesitation and lack of forceful comnfidence that her grasp of issues is lacking.

Always take a knitting needle and jab her at least once every week, just for your friends at Free Republic.

Re Shepard Smith: Do the girls really like the part where he walks across the stage and sits down at that ridiculously small desk?
I am still trying to figure out the WHY for this little strut he does. Is it supposed to create an impression in the viewer's mind, that he is a larger man than he really is?
(PS I don't like him... and saw him refuse to read something from the telepromter that he felt was too conservative; breaking off and saying, "I don't have to read that.")

There are only two things that matter to Ratner: her bank balance and her ego. If she is willing to show America that she is a bona fide commie, let her.
To: Congressman Billybob
How did she attempt to defend her statement?

She's the balanced part of fair and balanced, and as such, is a perfect example of radical liberalism.

In a backhanded way, I think FNC keeps her around as the Poster Child for Hateful Liberalism. Her role as a foil serves to spotlight just how despicable she and her ilk really are.
Precisely. We need to highlight America haters like Ratner and keep them on display to show what REALLY goes on inside the head of a liberal. The only way that liberals gain support is to hope for the deaths of American military men and women and further suffering of the American economy. To win America, liberals hope it must first suffer. I like the conservative side of THAT equation.

Click here for e-mails to FoxThose addresses are worthless. Those are just the general dump boxes for all email to each show and department; your email to any of them will be just one of hundreds of messages per day, messages that will be read only by interns or lowest-level production assistants.
In order to get action, you need to send email directly to individuals. All Fox news emails are of the form Firstname.Lastname@foxnews.com. So to email Roger Ailes directly, you'd simply send a message to Roger.Ailes@foxnews.com.
