These Balkan people like the Slovaks and Czechs have been doing this to the Roma for centuries. Sometimes they even hold them in slavery.

Umm, you seen a map of Europe lately? Notice how far outside the balkans the Czech Republic and Slovakia are?

Sometimes you have to ignore the maps and take a good, close look at the attitudes. It's quite obvious to everybody that the Czechs and Slovaks retrogressed in their humanity and civility under the Russian yoke.

The way they seem to wish to deal with the Roma is definitely Balkan.

Makes me wonder why the Western Europeans can seriously entertain applications for EC membership from these guys and not the Turks!
