Any one else think it strange that a man would go fishing Christmas eve and leave his 8 1/2 month pregnant alone?

Assuming the hubby's alibi holds water. We don't know yet if he stuffed her in a drainage ditch somewhere and is now playing the grieving spouse.

Only a fishing fanatic or hunting fanatic would drive 150 miles on Christmas eve.
I know a few.
How often did the husband go fishing?
Is this common or a one time event?
I think he did it.

. . .sounds more than strange; sounds like a very bad relationship that took a turn for the very worst. . .

Many people don't observe Christmas. For them, Christmas is a day off work.

Any one else think it strange that a man would go fishing Christmas eve and leave his 8 1/2 month pregnant alone? My dad was out hunting when my brother was born and we all turned out fine. I don't think it's strange.

Any one else think it strange that a man would go fishing Christmas eve and leave his 8 1/2 month pregnant alone? I don't think it all that odd, actually. I know I wasn't exactly that pleasant to be around the last couple of months of my second pregnancy. My husband was out in the field at a combat casualty course up until the actual day I went into labor (do I know how to time things or what?) Both of us enjoyed a little time apart from time to time and the proximity of the due date didn't have that much to do with it.
First babies don't usually come all that fast - she would have had loads of time to call him on his cell and get him home in time for the trip to the hospital.

Not necessarily. When a man has to get out of the house or dog house as the case may be, he just has to go. Some go to bars, fishing holes, shooting ranges, etc.
Were the inlaws over for a visit ?
