The notion that the victim must determine, before hand, the intent and capacity for harm of an intruder or attacker is insane.

No doubt. I figure if a guy is brazen enough to kick in my back door in the middle of the night, then he is brazen enough to do just about anything. I'm not going to sit there and quiz him on what he wants. He can answer to my Ruger Super Redhawk .44 Magnum and I'll pull the trigger more than once.

With the overwhelming evidence proving that self-defense saves lives and "gun control" costs both lives and human suffering, it is very hard to understand why people can't understand the reality of it all and begin to fight the elite government "authorities" and bureaucracy that has created this mess

But the push for "gun control" is not about public safety. It is only about control of the citizenry so that the socialist/communist goals can be advanced more readily. The cost in human lives and suffering is considered acceptable corollary damage.

Gun control is hitting the same target twice in the same place. There are places where you can join with many other people who share your views and have done something to protect your right to defend yourself, The Gun Owners of America for example do more to fight liberals in all states and there are more and they do fight! It has been ruled on in the courts that you alone are responsible for your defense and you alone! The police are not required to supply defense only you! Remember a police officer unless they are lucky and witness a crime in commission are not involved until after that crime has been committed. Why when it is common knowledge with the FBI and every liberal on capital hill that guns save lives would they push so hard for the reduction of the very thing that keeps people alive? We have just about every right we enjoy being challenged in one way or another by liberals how else would you complete the erosion of our rights unless the populace was unarmed? There was another political group as such that tried that back a few years ago. That is why we have a Second Amendment and the liberals know that. Think about it the only time a liberal cares about violence namely a gun crime is when fits their cause and that alone. Washington DC has one of the worst crime rates in the country it also has the most liberals in one place, the unconstitutional gun ban is being challenged. Show me one liberal behind that challenge!! Liberals believe in government control and as in all history the only way to control a populace is to disarm that populace.
