Reminds me of the crown-of-thorns (a Madagascar species) I had for a time about 22 years back. Nice, but it wanted more sun than my apartment windows offered.

It looks like something we used to dig up & bring home from deep south Texas. We called it pickle cactus but I am sure it had another name. Then there was that other stuff we found, payote (sp). The Indian tribes had religious ceremonies using it. I'll bet it made you think you were thin & tall & rich & whatever. lol
