Posted on 12/28/2002 12:23:35 PM PST by Peach

The author has managed to talk with scores of Bonesmen who have revealed what the society is really about. She reveals for the first time who has been a member and what is involved with being a member. The flyleaf states "It is a provocative exploration of our collective obsession with conspiracy and connection".

Nearly all of the conspiracy theories about Skull and Bones is debunked in this book, which should come as no surprise to most of us. Senator John Kerry is a member, which did surprise me, but probably shouldn't have.

Doesn't surprise me at all that he is in Skull and Bones. It actually confirms my suspicion that Democrats can be Elitist, Plutocratic jerks too.
BTW.
I read the book myself. Got some good laughs out of it.

I had Kerry pegged as a "Jaws and Hair" member.

Watch the media NOT touch this issue, as they did when President Bush ran for prez. If I was a member of a group that Kerry was in, I'd resign. What was it George Burns said - something like he didn't want to belong to a club that accepted him as a member?

"Jaws and Hair" member - good one. He doesn't stand a chance of winning but hope he takes away a lot of $$ and votes trying.

I want his face (Lurch) to become the face of the Democratic Party. From there on, everything will take care of itself.

Unfortunately, rather than Lurch, I think we'll have Hillary to contend with as THE face of the DNC.

Muttly,
You probably could get one of the neighborhood cats to debunk you, for a small price (may I suggest a live mouse?).

I, however, have been assured, on good authority, that I represent a "Clique of One". As such, I find it difficult to attract enough attention to provoke an "Expose'" of my "Membership".

But I'm not giving up easily...

The frustration is causing me to dig holes in the back yard...and get in trouble.

But isn't that the key to provoking an expose' - causing trouble and damage? They're putting in those high-bandwidth fiberoptic cables all over now - there's one running across my driveway... surely there's one in your backyard you could dig up? Then you could spread rumors of being part of a Luddite conspiracy that worships Ted Kaczynski. That, (plus a suitable bribe to a gossipy neighborhood cat, as suggested above) should do the trick...

Groucho Marx

But there is some sort of org., I reckon it's closer to the Man Who Fell to Earth{Walter Tevis} version.

i.e. look what happened to the sulfur light & high pressure fuel injection amoung many other "man"nipulated occludations.

Would you be my Manager? There's a mouse in it for you. They're good for LOTS of things, other than bribing Naiomi Kats...who I've manip...uh..."utilized" before. Moles are good scapegoats too...uh...I am told.

We'll talk.

Good answer, OldFriend! I'm laughing so hard I can't really articulate an answer. Skull and Bones is a college fraternity that is very secretive and many conspiracy theories have been bandied about for years. Chief among those conspiracies is that the Club is so powerful they decide the future leaders of America and is the dark heart of a secret world government. This book very adequately debunks all of the old conspiracy theories surrounding this Club.
