Just taking a break from our Christmas Eve festivities to check the weather. We live in MD and were due to head toward Binghamton, NY tomorrow but don't think we will make it. So we are sitting by the fire, "making merry" and having some steamed mussels and shrimp, listening to Christmas music.

Our family tradition was that the children had to assemble in the hall on Christmas morning before seeing the tree and presents and then we would come into the living room to the Christmas tree while singing.
We chose different carols different years, but several times we chose "Happy Birthday to You."
