Some people like to be notified of certain threads, especially if they only log on to FR once every few days.
True. And there's no law that says you have to read everything that someone pings to you.
I don't always have the time to search out the things that interest me, so I really appreciate the people who ping me on the good stuff.
What really DOES piss me off but good is this one person who pings me for no reason other than to bump threads. No content whatsoever, and I repeatedly asked that person to refrain from empty pings, and finally "yelled" at him or her.
