If Lott apologizes one more time, I suspect he will next turn black and start working on his jump shot.

I suspect he will soon apologize for his racist neglect in not having already worked on his jump shot.

I agree. If race-baiting Democrats and honest Republicans would just tell Lott what he needs to do to keep his post and send more pork to Mississippi, he'd do it.
Heck, maybe he would agree to sell out his Constitutional responsibilities to help the Democrats. Oh, wait. He already did this--selling out the impeachment trial to look good with the Washington Post.
Heck, maybe he would agree to let Daschle control the Senate after the Nov. 2002 election even though there are more Republicans (with Jim Talent seated). Oh wait, he already did that.
Heck, maybe Lott could promise a national council on race to give more power to race-baiters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Oh wait, he alreay did that.
Heck, maybe he should just agree to wear a wire for Daschle in Republican caucuses and kiss Daschle's feet on national television on the floor of the Senate. He hasn't done that yet, but that might be going too far even for Lott. But then again, maybe not. Or maybe hire himself out as a nanny to Jesse Jackson's out of wedlock baby. Again, that might go too far, even for Lott.
I guess the only thing decent left is to STEP DOWN--preferably last week!

Well now that what you said is on record, I don't suppose you will be running for political office soon? Strange times in which we live!!

I've never apologized more than once for anything. There's no need to when you mean it.Trent just doesn't have a spine, which is why he comes across as tooooooo nice.Sorry Trent, it's your fault for never getting Passionate (or angry) about anything in your entire life. That's how 'The Dass' drew you in.
