The author of that article is an idiot. The productive, tax paying citizens of the U.S. are the CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN voters. Can you imagine any of these liberal areas trying to survive on their own?

Where would Detroit be if the Republican parts of Michigan weren't taxed to prop it up? Ditto for just about any major liberal DemoRAT dominated city.

If we split the country up, giving liberals one half and conservatives the other half, the liberal half would rot into a third world cesspool in no time. Look at the mess California is in because it's been flooded with DemoRAT immigrant voters. Imagine what would happen if all the people who voted for Simon left the state, leaving only the Davis & Boxer voters. The place would look like Haiti in two years.

The only problem the conservative half of the country would have would be keeping out the illegal aliens flooding into our side from the liberal side.

Conservatives build. Liberals then occupy the territory, sponge off of us, and tear down what we've built. It's a law of nature.
