This is not good news.

Read Dick Morris' column on the Monday before Election Day 2002 (in which he predicted that the Democrats would pick up several seats in the Senate and 25+ House seats).

I refuse to buy the NY Post until they fire that amateur.

I agree; you generally have to take the opposite of what Dick Morris predicts as what will happen. Otherwise, we would have Senator Lazio and a Democratic House and Senate.

Landrieu is only in trouble if Morris predicts she will win.

So this has me worried. Dick Morris would have to be predicting a big Democratic victory for me to get excited for a GOP upset.

I don't trust that poll. I think she may pull it out. It will be very close IMHO

Most of the dead in LA are buried above ground. Makes it far easier to get them to the polls.

The Dem machine in New Orleans will hand it to her.

Nice to hear of Landrieu's impending demise but Morris's judgment of the situation is not evidence that it might be so. He is wrong often enough to cause consternation in those whom his pronouncements support.

A poll undertaken by a leftist women's group (pro-abortion) showed Landrieu at 40% and her Republican opponent at 48%. This was a poll of likely voters and was well outside the margin of error.

Landrieu does look like she's history unless she can figure out how to steal some votes as she did last time.

Maybe Morris gets confused easily when he has to concentrate on more than one race. Anyway, I hope he's right this time.

The Landrieux-Terrill debate was televised live on C-SPAN last night. As much as I hate to agree with Morris (since he is usually 180 degrees off course) Terrill made Landrieux look like a loser for most of the hour. Terrill seemed much more in command with facts and voting references, while Landrieux had difficulty making her case, and appeared to be flailing around trying to find a reason people shoud vote for her. Word of that Terrill-leaning poll cropped up somewhere else yesterday, giving it more credibility than it would have coming from Morris alone.

Dick Morris? The guy is so wrong so much of the time that I find little comfort in him predicting the demise of Landrieu. On the other hand, I hope to God he is right.

Heard Jill Abramson (sp?) on Kudlow and Cramer last night and she said that there are strong winds blowing and they appear to be blowing against Landrieu. She was equally pessimistic about Landrieu's chances.

Go SUZY!

When I heard Dick Morris predict the Democratic victories, it was the first time I was 100% confident that the Republicans would win.

Sorry about the x in Landrieu(x)....I certainly don't want to suggest that an (X) be put after her name.

The poll I saw recently showing landrieu down by eight was taken by the Susan B. Anthony group, which is pro-life and conservative.

There's a thread on the Susan B. Anthony poll here.

The margin of error in the poll is four, so the lead by Terrell is just at the margin of error.

Dick Morris is adept at giving thoughtful analysis that has a lower probability of being correct than a wild ass guess. My own accuracy rate puts his to shame and Fox wouldn't give me a dime.

This would be the same Dick Morris who predicted a good night for the Democrats a few weeks ago?

The Dem machine in New Orleans will hand it to her.

New U.S. Attorney here in MD helped prevent the Dems from stealing another election here. Who's the U.S. Attorney in New Orleans? (On the day of the LA runoff, the Justice Department will have elections in only one state to observe.)
