As the article takes pains to point out, it may be very difficult to use this phenomenon in a proactive manner, since we each differ enough in our response to make safe dosages of, for example, arsenic or mercury, very problematic. But at the least it should be possible someday soon to refute the "zero-tolerance" model of environmentalism.

BTT for an exellent article that is real science not junk-science. The ancient Greeks understood that almost all medicines could be poisonous in dosages that were too high. It is nice to see that modern science is also adopting this idea.
