Aren't there more important things the Texas legislature should be doing? Such as demanding Washington reimburse Texas hospitals for having to care for illegal aliens?

Should EVERY second grade class be permitted to clog the system in order to learn "how a bill becomes law"? Shouldn't lawmakers have the spine to tell them "this isn't playtime?" kindly but firmly?

Welcome to Texas. Now change your state flag on your homepage!
The way it works here in Texas is that literally hundreds of bills are filed at the start of the legislative session. Only a tiny fraction are ever even considered by a committee, much less sent to the floor for a vote.
You'll read stories about all kinds of wacky or insignificant bills being introduced, but it's meaningless.

Remember the "Law of Unintended Consequences," and when you see the legislature working on something like this, instead of screwing up something important, thank your lucky stars!
BTW, I vote for Dr. Pepper and Fritos.

No way it'll ever be as popular as pressed-armadillo.
