They knew Bill Gates was serious about coming after them for not licensing their copies of Windows.

Those BASTARDS!

And the games have begun. Saddam's just playing for time.
To: NY Catholic
I actually started laughing when I read this, because it's just Saddam playing for time...time he does not have.

I suspect we have intel on what he really has, and regardless of any inspections, even if they happen, Saddam will be exposed as having hidden military assets, chemical weapons, etc.

Great! Now we can get back to Health Care, Minimum Wage, Corporate Criminals, etc.
(gee - had the weirdest sensation I was a DU'er for a second)

Wait, I thought the Iraqi Parliament rejected it?
But, since Saddam was re-elected with exactly 100% of the vote, I guess he has the final say.

Actually, I have a new analysis on this charade. If Saddam lists ANYTHING on the required list of WMD he has to give by Dec 7th, then that means the iraqi's have been lying for four years about everything else with their dealings with the UN and may by itself be an admission of material breach from the original 1992 resolutions. By doing what they must at this time they may be admitting to breaking earlier resolutions and BAM!

I laughed as I watched all the members of parliament raise their hands. What they said doesn't really matter.
It reminded me of 100% of the population voting for Saddam.
Looks like there is not a lot of "choice" in Iraq!!

The hilarious thing was how the mainstream media in this country reported on the Iraqi election as if it were a free one.
"In a rousing show of support today, Saddam Hussein wins a unanimous victory"
To: NY Catholic
Now, there will be disagreement between the US and the UN over just what constitutes a material breach. Then there will be the matter of getting the inspectors to leave Iraq so military action can proceed.

I laughed as I watched all the members of parliament raise their hands. Since 100% of the Iraqi parliament voted to reject the UN resolution, wouldn't Saddam's acceptance of the resolution be 100% out of step with the Iraqi parliament and the Iraqi people?

It is almost predictable that Iraq would accept this knowing that they can lead inspectors on a wild goose chase for YEARS. The answer is simple, we must flood the country with inspector "teams". Perhaps we should send over a thousand teams of 4 people each so that his soldiers won't be able to keep track of them all. They should demand immedate access to the sites they visit and the FIRST time access is denied they withdraw and KA-BOOM.

One thing on which Bush insisted was that Iraq declare the WMD in its possession. We're setting them up. My guess is that we have some very good info on some WMD in Iraq, and know exactly where they are.
As soon as the inspectors go in, Bush will release that information to them, and they'll immediately go to that site. When they find the stuff, he'll be in breach. My guess is that will happen within the first week.

Saddam's "acceptance" is analogous to those cop v. badguy California car chases. The nitwit mental midget drives through the spike-strips still thinking he's safe.
Every thinking and informed person knows this madman will continue to drive his insane agenda toward non-compliance.
Mustang sends.

Another victory for George Bush!Another defeat for the morons (intellectual and moral) who would love for everyone to believe that he is a warmonger.
Bush's goal is to remove Sadam Tikriti from power without having to resort to war.
He will probably succeed.
Are you paying attention, Barbra?
To: XJarhead
Hopefully our intelligence is where it should be. I know that Bush won't put up with SADdham's crap, and he shouldn't. Let's Roll.
