The Democrat establishment isn't even listening to its own supporters. As the House minority leadership prepares to plunge leftward, the rank and file thinks the party is already too far from the middle.
That's one of the highlights of a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll released today.
Fifty-four percent of Democrats polled said the party should moderate its "liberal" message.
Also, a majority of Americans surveyed supported President Bush's strategy on Iraq and said Democrats were not tough enough in dealing with terrorism.
The poll, completed over the weekend, also found that most people believe that Republicans have a clearer plan for managing foreign affairs and the economy.
"The poll suggests that public support for Bush's leadership on Iraq and terrorism, and the Democrats' perceived lack of a plan for the economy, may have been significant factors in the GOP election sweep that gave it control of Congress," USA Today reported.
Half of those polled said the GOP had a clear plan for curing the country's ills; only 30 percent said the Democrats did.

Fifty-four percent of Democrats polled said the party should moderate its "liberal" message. Oh no, this could be trouble... 54% must have stopped drinking the KoolAid and it's effects are starting to wear off.

This is really bad news
Liberals can't actually think for themselves, they need polls to do their thinking.
I hope most miss this one

And ... don't forget she's a member of California's Democrat Socialist Party.
The other day, the Washington Times (I think) did a great article about it.
