Parents' Rights Expecting Second Round of Legislative Attack Following Election

Sacramento, CA - Absent contravening federal legislation, parents' rights in California will likely be further challenged following the statewide results of yesterday's election. With the election behind him, many legislative experts anticipate Governor Gray Davis to more aggressively sign off on bills that were either vetoed or tabled during the last legislative session.

Such bills included AB 2651, which was vetoed by Governor Gray Davis on "timing grounds." It would have given broader discretion to social workers to disregard the religious beliefs and preferences of a foster child's original parents in choosing a place for them to live. "We expect to see this bill again, and we're doubtful a second veto would occur," said Mike Meers of the Capitol Resource Institute.

Regarding the impact of yesterday's election on future legislation, Assemblyman Tim Leslie said "Despite a two-seat Republican gain in the assembly, the legislature is expected to be even more liberal and anti-family than last year. Pacific Justice Institute is one of the few hopes we have at stemming the attack on the traditional family. Thank God they are there fighting with us." "Without question, we expect to have to work harder over the next two years due to the statewide election results," said Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute.

The Pacific Justice Institute is a non-profit 501(c)(3) legal defense organization specializing in the defense of religious freedom, parental rights, and other civil liberties.

Gov. "Gay" Davis and his democrap minions are just salivating to attack our values every chance they get. There's NOTHING to stop them. God have mercy on California.

Yes, I know. The L.A Slimes advice to reelected Gray Davis was to impose stiff tax increases upon Californians to resolve the budget crisis and they ridiculed minority Republicans' vow not to increase them. Well the Democrats have the run of the roost in the statehouse and the state legislature and they're the ones saddled with cleaning up their own mess.

Here we go: health care clinics in the schools, free and confidential abortions for minors, "diversity training" (the gay agenda) taught in our schools from K thru 12 - you name it, the liberal democraps will force it down our throats. A Gov. Simon would have vetoed this crap. We're in for it. Brace yourself.

We'll have to wait four more long years before we can do anything about it. The only power the Republicans have now is once a year when the budget has to be dealt with and even then it's pretty much a joke. The democraps are going to have free reign over our families. They even want to make homeschooling illegal. God help us!

Yep. Like I said, the democraps want to make homeschooling illegal in California. As Bette Davis said: "Buckle your seatbelts; it's going to be a bumpy ride." Here we go. FReeping in California is going to be more important than ever! For victory & freedom!!!

I despise the thought of "teaching California a lesson" at the expense of innocent civilians, but this is exactly what is about to occur.

In a way, it's somewhat better that Davis should preside over the financial calamity that was his first term. The way Calinfornia sits politically now, there will be no mistake as to whom is responsible for the fall. They'll blame GWB of course, but we'll know better when the full story is unraveled, which is what will happen in the "bailout".

Still, I'm really sorry about CA.

Kid, I can't. My kids and grandkids are here. I need to stay and occupy. It's really scary, though. Good Heavens!

Lucky for us the state is bankrupt and they don't have the money to actually pay for any of these lamebrained ideas.

We'll see unrestrained liberal legislation of all types, as well as tax increases to pay for legislated utopia. And to top it all off, you won't have any firearms to protect yourself with. Oh, and look for illegals with drivers licences...... I am not surprised, but I'm still really disgusted and disheartened.

Don't kid yourself. They're gonna raise taxes like never before. They'll have to in order to cover "Gay" Davis's corrupt butt! Know what's happening today? A lot of businesses were waiting for the results of the election before making decisions for the future. Today they're saying, "Okay guys - let's get the hell out of here while the gettin's good." When they leave, our taxes go up. It's a nightmare in the making. I'm literally frightened for our families in more ways than one.

Sorry - our governors (MI and CA) lost.

But Roe v Wade may soon join Dred Scot as a testament to man's inhumanity to man.

Amen.

Gee, thanks.

I meant it sincerely. There just isn't a whole lot I can do about it from Florida.

My mind would be numb with grief if I lived in CA right now.

Join the club. It's tempting to get mad at Bill Simon's campaign - all those missteps! But no use crying over spilt milk. It's going to be a test of our faith. Will we continue to trust God Almighty even though our world is falling apart? As for me and my house, we will trust the Lord. Amen. ("Gay" Davis and his stooges and goons can GO TO HELL!!!!!)

A possible solution is to divide the State. Give up SF, Marin Co., Oakland, Berkeley, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbra, LA and San Diego. The Central Valley, Sacramento and all northern counties can form a more pro-family state.

I used to be very active in pro life - in an activist sort of way. I'm thinking about getting active again. What else can we do? Can't just sit around and let them pummel our families. Fight back! Abortion hurts women and kills babies. Let's roll!
