Haganah Database for Waaqiah.com:

Hosted at Vibus in North Ireland, Azzam is one of the most important Jehadi sites. Abdullah Azzam was the 'spiritual' mentor of bin Laden. and a founder of Al-Qaeda

The Institute for Counter Terrorism in Israel reports: "Above all is the web site of the main ideological direction of the global Jihad – http://www.azzam.com

There is a long list of research about Azzam.com at: FreeRepublic

Azzam's Fatwa was the requirement that Muslims "kill Americans and their allies-civilians and military" -- and the hijackers carried it out. After 9/11 European hackers who broke into www.Azzam.de German subscriber list and discovered an e-mail address for Said Bahaji, a fugitive identified as the computer geek of the 9-11 hijack cell based in Hamburg.

ICT in Israel has a report onSheikh Abdullah Azzam

Time Magazine writes:
Al-Qaeda had its origins in the long war against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. After Soviet troops invaded the country in 1979, Muslims flocked to join the local mujahedin in fighting them. In Peshawar, Pakistan, which acted as the effective headquarters of the resistance, a group whose spiritual leader was a Palestinian academic called Abdallah Azzam established a service organization to provide logistics and religious instruction to the fighters. The operation came to be known as al-Qaeda al-Sulbah—the "solid base."

Why are you pluggin thier drivel ?

One of the reasons that terrorism is successful in other parts of the world is that people (and this means you, JohnathanRGalt) in freedom loving countries with a free and open press forward their message into places they couldn't normally reach.

In such a capacity, you are used as a funnel for advance their cause you and you need to make a stand.

Thanks for the ping, It looks like the Jehadis are doing the same thing the democrats are doing...turning on each other with a vengeance. Hopefully they will soon be busy trying to shut each other down and won't have time to mess with the internet routers or the Haganah site.

Hey Jehadis! ALL YOUR WEBSITES ARE BELONG TO US.

The thing I find so funny about all of this is that both websites post "news" stating that ~1000 American troops have been killed in Afghanistan, yet they attack one another's credibility.

It strikes me that Azzam is the real thing (in the sense of being run by al-Qaeda) and that Jihad Unspun is the wannabes. Maybe "bin Laden" can post a fatwa or two in Azzam's favor to settle the argument.

Why are you pluggin thier drivel ?

I'm the one who has been plugging up their drivel. I have been directly responsible for shutting down numerous jehadi-terrorist sites -- and the groups I have been working with have shut down dozens more (scroll down page to see blue AK-47s on right-hand side for current count).

One of the reasons that terrorism is successful in other parts of the world is that people (and this means you, JohnathanRGalt) in freedom loving countries with a free and open press forward their message into places they couldn't normally reach.

One of the reasons that terrorism is successful in other parts of the world is that ISPs in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada are hosting terrorist sites -- these ISPs are exporting terror to the rest of the world -- resulting in the murder and destruction of Christians in Indonesia, Hindus in India, Jews in Israel, ... These ISPs are making a buck while causing the deaths of other people around the globe.

Freedom of the Press does not include the right to incite other people to murder.

In such a capacity, you are used as a funnel for advance their cause you and you need to make a stand.
I have made a stand.

We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest....

Check!

I agree. Azzam seems to tell the biggest lies. Terrorist experts such as ICT claim that site is the one (in English) setting the direction of Al-Qaeda along with several Arabic ones.

Maybe "bin Laden" can post a fatwa or two in Azzam's favor to settle the argument.

Actually, Azzam has already claimed that they were given an 'exclusive' statement from bin Laden himself just last month.

Thanks for the links!

I found this on the JUS site -- they are talking about why they were shut down at their first ISP:

Many ask how we have been able to survive while others have been shut down and the answer is simply “not easily”. JUS is not all a success story and there have been many challenges from both sides of the aisle each and every day. We have been written up by groups like USA Today as a “terrorist” site which couldn’t be further from the truth. When we distributed our Casualty report, we mailed 1.5 million copies of this throughout the USA and we were forced to move the portal.

They were not shut down for terrorist activities. They were shut down for SPAMMING the internet with 1.5 million copies of their propaganda.

I personally see Azzam (along with Taliban News and a couple others) as being the main links to their English-speaking followers now that more conventional methods of communication are being disrupted. In the absence of any coherent message from the leadership, the websites keep the communication lines open and help to keep the morale up of al-Qaeda's sleepers, supporters, and sympathizers here in the West.

"Actually, Azzam has already claimed that they were given an 'exclusive' statement from bin Laden himself just last month."

Yeah, I saw that. My personal opinion is that a lot of these messages being attributed to bin Laden are actually being written by either Suleiman Abu Ghaith (the latest message sounds a lot like his last communique over the summer) or Abu Hafs the Mauritanian (al-Qaeda's principle theologian, who is currently receiving VIP treatment in Iran). If bin Laden is alive (and the recent testimony of the captured Dr. Amir Aziz, combined with the recent letter bearing his signature, seems to indicate that perhaps he is), I expect that he's either wounded and is being treated in Iran or he's hiding out somewhere planning his next attack, not issuing propaganda statements. He still has more than enough flunkies to do that without his immediate approval.

Can you imagine an entire world where Arabic is the only language and everyone must have an Arabic-sounding name, like Azza, or Nazir, or Yassir, or Mehmed, or Akbhar, or Osama, or Muhammad, or Jamil, etc.?
What a friggin' drag!
Yet, that is what all Muslims envision.
