I disagree with this upcoming misadventure as much as the next non-interventionist paleoconservative...but when the metal hits the meat and the O-Plans go into the circular file...in the military you just gotta shut up and color. 'Nuff said
He was a class ahead of me at "Hudson High". In fact, I was a plebe in the same company where he was a yearling (2nd year). I don't remember much about him other than that he was pretty bright, and that he was soft on the plebes (not atypical for a yearling). His yearbook graduation photo shows him wearing stars on the collar (top 5 percent of class) and headed for the Medical Corps. (If I had a scanner I'd post it)
I left the Army after 5 years and wasn't in the Gulf War. Another classmate, however, told me about Wiggins' schenanigans with the "hunger strike" etc. I wasn't aware though that it happened in Saudi. I remember hearing that he may have done jail time.
I guess he considered his full ride through the Academy and Medical School as some kind of freebie that carried no obligation.
I assume now that he's long out of the Army. He probably hangs out in leftist circles, which provides him with ego-strokes for his views and gives him a further chance to dishonor the Army and the Academy.
