This might sound way-out, but I think helium might be of some help. No matter how light those carbon nanotubes are, 10,000 kilometers could mean a lot of poundage, which might drag the station down from orbit. But a helium station could lift the tubes up to a certain point. Beyond that, the gravitational pull should be considerably lighter. I'm not sure how far. I don't mean balloons that are easilly popped either. FReegards....
