The problem with catching the Dems at voter fraud is that nobody cares.
I remember one year in NYC, they video taped group home workers for the mentally handicapped taking clients into the voting booth. So essentially, the group home workers (who are unanimously Democratic, since I left the field) got to vote 20 times each. And they weren't voting for Guiliani, I guarantee it.
The news media applaudes their cheating as "resourceful" and the GOP doesn't want to make any trouble by denouncing it.
Sorry about the negativity, but it just pisses me off. So this year, somebody should video tape the Democrats bussing Philly winos into Camden, so the media can ignore those tapes too.
Go Forrester Go! A vote for Lautenberg is a vote for crime.
My oldest friend is a poll worker here in Jax. During the primary a man came in to vote in her precinct. The address on his ID did not match the address on her registration info. She said he wouldn't be allowed to vote in that precinct. He kicked up a fuss, making noise about "disenfranchisement" and produced a second ID, this one with a PO box address.
She pulled out an affidavit for him to swear to and explained that he could vote on the new provisional ballot, and that his address information would be investigated by the supervisor of elections office. If it was not valid he would be liable to a $5000 fine. He refused to sign and walked out of the polling place without voting.
The screw ups in Florida were mostly in the south, the only counties that chose equipment that leave no paper trail are in the south. North Florida has its act together.
If you really want to make a difference on election day...be a poll worker.
