[history]
After months of negotiations, the Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians and Yolo County officials struck a tentative agreement Wednesday that reduces the size of a proposed expansion of the Cache Creek Indian gaming casino.
The deal also requires the tribe to pay Yolo County more than $80 million over the next 18 years to mitigate traffic, air quality and other problems.

Amazing how quiet the environmenalists are when the broker of the deal has a (D) after their name.

Oh, This? The tentative agreement was reached during talks that were "facilitated" by former Rep. Vic Fazio, D-West Sacramento.

Fazio was, as I remember, picked by the Dems to follow Robert Leggett (D-CA) who was involved in the Koreagate scandal but skated. Leggett also forged his wife's name to the deed to their home then bought a condo for his mistress in D.C. with the proceeds. Later, classified documents were found in the seat of his unlocked car parked on the street.
