According to two sources, Pallone accepted without checking with his wife He should know better. Can you imagine if Bill Clinton ever did anything without checking first with his wife?

Confirmed by Hannity via Drudge on WABC.
Pallone is out.
But I thought the Torch deal to withdraw from the race was contingent on NOT having Lautenberg replace him. Torch and Lautenberg are long time enemies.

The title of the thread (link posted above is "Torecelli did not quit race. That's right. He's in, and he's going to win." It is a brilliant analysis, and a must read.

ABC News has learned that because of unresolved family issues, Pallone may be backing out of the race.La Famiglia?

"The Great One", Marc Levin just wrote a memo to Hannity affirming that the NJSC will be the final arbiter. This is a state issue and does not have equal protection implications so it will not go to the SCOTUS.
And the NJSC is known as an activist court.

The image of the dying days of the Roman empire comes to mind here, during which the Roman elites offered seats in the Roman senate to anyone willing to take them.
But by that time nobody really wanted to serve in the Roman senate.
Not even Maximus Rectumus Torricellius, who would conspire to accept piles of treasure from the Far East just to be called "Janitor of Rome."

What happened to Bruce Springsteen? I guess that, baby, he wasn't born to run.

His wife talked him out of it. GOODIE, the dems will indeed lose this seatAre you talking about Pallone? I thought he was out of the closet?
Maybe that's why nobody got my joke about him trying to sneak in through the back door again?
To: dfwgator
