Any lawyers care to say why the NJSC is so ANXIOUS to hear this? Better yet, how can they justify their anxiousness?

I, too, am a bit suspicious that SCONJ is planning to hear this so quickly. It means one of two things - either the Dems have the skids all greased and they want to rush this into court before an organized defense can assemble or the court is ready to tell the Dirtycrats a big fat "NO" and just want to be done with it.

I'm not a lawyer but I have an idea what's going on. We are at Step #1 of a multi-part plan. STEP #2 must happen by this Saturday, October 5 within 30 days of election.

Step #1: To see if the Dimwits can get a new candidate (Pallone) added to the ballot by steam-rolling through the SCONJ.

If Yes, they've got a new candidate and it will be hard for the SCOTUS to get involved. After all, States get to decide how to elect their Senators. And, there is no National Constitutional issue involved, unlike Bush-Gore 2000.

If NO LUCK, then advance to Step #2:

Step #2: Torricelli resigns, McGreedy appoints this Pallone guy as interim Senator, and claims he gets to run "on the ballot" as the incumbent. They will fight to have his name on the ballot. Another SCONJ fight, but no Naational issue for the SCOTUS to get involved.

Some people think that Dimwits want McGreedy to call off alection for a year, I think he just wants to get another candidate on the ballot. I don't see how the SCOTUS gets involved UNLESS the governor appoints someone and calls off the election. They won't do this, IMHO.\

Paging Congressman Billybob...
