Before departing for Russia on Sunday, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon reportedly met with Israeli officials to discuss the protruding bulge in the southern wall of the Temple Mount. The urgency of the discussion was due to the fact that hundreds of thousands of Muslim worshippers are expected to visit the Temple Mount next month for the holiday of Ramadan, and the massive crowds may lead to the wall's collapse.

And destroy the Dome of the Rock? And clear the space for the new Jewish Temple? Bring it on!

Why is it that the Muslims don't know how to take care of anything?

mass demon possession?

Muslims regularly trash religious sites holy to others. Jerusalem has a series of sites the Muslims have wrecked (e.g., the bus station they placed below the "Golgatha" site honored by many as an alternative location for the Christ's crucifixion). Seems like the Muslim principle that it is okay to lie to infidels. Very different mindset -- no respect for anything non-Muslim.

What are the chances that the Arabs are counting on the wall collapsing while big crowds are present? Then they could stage riots, attacks, maybe even drag Arab countries into a full-scale war with Israel.

When Jordan owned the West Bank, they used the Wailing Wall as a urinal. They also desecrated an ancient Jewish burial site in Jerusalem.

They abolished daily access to the Temple Mount for non-Muslims, so how fitting that the place of Allah's sanctuary would be cast down. It's a good thing. Dan 8:11

If this wall is bound to fall it would be best if it fell on all those Rama-lama-ding-dongs. It would make the chain of causation clear./

>In Sunday's discussion, it was clear to all participants that Israel would have to pay the price no matter what happened regarding the southern wall, Maariv reported. "If Israel decides to repair the wall, without the agreement of the Waqf, this will result in riots in Israel and the territories," one official said. "If the wall collapses when worshippers are on the Temple Mount, it will be even worse. We will be held guilty no matter what."A good thing prophetically, but in the short term bad because it looks like anything that happens will be blamed on the Jews.

I think the Israelis are right on that they will be blamed no matter what. The question is: Where will Bush stand when that happens? I have my doubts.
