EarthLink Inks Deals with Office Depot and Level 3

EarthLink Inc said on Thursday it signed a deal with Office Depot Inc. and Level 3 Communications Inc said it extended agreements with the Internet service provider .
EarthLink said that office products retailer, Office Depot would sell its high speed Internet services in hundreds of its stores beginning on Thursday.
The retailer will promote EarthLink Internet access products using demonstrations by trained staff at kiosks in each of its stores.
Wholesale telecommunications service provider Level 3, also on Thursday, said it had signed a new customer agreement with EarthLink. The agreement increases EarthLink's access to Level 3's dial-up Internet network in hundreds of U.S. cities.
EarthLink and Level 3 also extended their preexisting contract for Level 3's managed modem services.

Ditto here! They never have been as good as advertised. I use dial-up, but DSL and cable are offered in my service area. Dial-up seems to have slowed down significantly since.
It's only 2.5 times the dial-up price. But I don't think Earthlink offering these services has anything to do with the degrading quality of what I have. /sarcasm
