When I grew up, my mother used a switch, my father used a belt, my elementary school principal used a razor strap, my high school P.E. teacher used a wooden paddle with holes drilled in it. Oh well, I guess they all deserved life terms for child abuse.

I was reading this and thinking the same thing.. Personally I used a fly swatter..

I'm not making excuses for this woman but this tape does is not very good evidence. It leaves too much to the imagination. I didn't see anything that looked like hair pulling or punching. A few too many slaps maybe. If they would have been punches this little girl would have had some severe damage.

This is the same group of people who are so upset about security cameras who are ready to take this little girl away from her mom. Maybe she needs some anger management therapy or something but I have to see and hear a lot more before I would call for taking the child away. I don't think this is a very good video to come to those conclusions unless you have a very active imagination.

But then again, I came from a generation where if you swore or sassed ( as they called it) to your mom you wore her hand print on the side of your face for the next couple hours in the form of a welt.. But you never did it again.
