Why not? Wasn't he responsible for the Hindenburg too?

This thread is a year and half old. It's amazing how these things get resurrected on FR.

Weird, isn't it? I wondered why I was pinged to this thread until I realized I had posted it.

The answer is really pretty simple. Diets high in grains and corn products, without enough meat and animal fat. We are carnivores. Deal with it.

I respectfully disagree. I think diets high in sugar and refined grains such as white flour products are the culprit. Whole grains in moderate amounts are nutrient rich and healthy.

As a vegetarian for more than thirty years who has been fat and thin, I think the key is avoiding processed foods and not pigging out.

This may sound simple but maybe if people went back to smoking they wouldn't be gaining so much weight. Add to that the internet age where everbody sits on their butts in the evenings instead of getting some exercise and I think we have a few reason why obesity is becoming a problem. I heard one theory that it is the growth hormones in the feed supply.

Bump, I do the same... I pack my lunch with plenty of fresh fruits and veggies a serving or two of meat, a little bread a little cheese. I do Love Coca Cola's by day and beer at night though. If I cut them out I would weigh nothing lol.
