Actually in the MET in New York City, in the daytime there are two kinds of guards ones with and ones without guns. You will never be able to tell which ones have them because they do not wear their guns outside they are hidden. Also at night the guards are not even allowed to let the cops in the main door unless they get permission from the higher ups. That is how serious they are about the artwork in the museum. Alot goes on behind the scenes that you don't know about.
