That is a great fresco steeped in truth. Any sight showing the psychotic PoS who concocted Islam being dragged into hell to serve his master is a beautiful sight. This won't be the last time the Murderous Minions of Mad Mo (Piss be upon his name) try and destroy this place you can bet.

It seems like the Italians and a small percentage of the English people are the only ones that have any guts in Europe anymore.

If this had taken place in the US, a single officer would have approached the group. They would have run away. And we would we left with another 'one that got away' story posted on the internet.
The Italians actually nabbed the jihadis.

A crusade would be wrong right?Definitely falls under the category of "bad idea." Can you imagine the British knights on their way to the holy land? Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Steven Spielberg, and so on. I'd probably die from dehydration caused while pissing my pants laughing.

From the looks of this guy, the jihadis certainly like their pasta and they aren't skipping any meals in the 'oppressive' west.

A group of Italian Muslims had appealed unsuccessfully to the Vatican ( news - web sites) last year to have the fresco, by Giovanni da Modena, removed or to have parts of it covered, arguing that it offended Islam. I am sorry that Islam so easily offended by a mere picture. Is is OK for Americans to be offended by Islam's seeming complicity in 911? Or would that be wrong?

I have been to that Basilica,,it is gorgeous and there are scores of frescoes some of which are five hundred years old,,Dont remember this one but the town is small and beautiful with great pasta.

Actually in the MET in New York City, in the daytime there are two kinds of guards ones with and ones without guns. You will never be able to tell which ones have them because they do not wear their guns outside they are hidden. Also at night the guards are not even allowed to let the cops in the main door unless they get permission from the higher ups. That is how serious they are about the artwork in the museum. Alot goes on behind the scenes that you don't know about.

Alan Greenspan was knighted, too-- but he's not a Brit.

This is getting ridiculous. Attacking artwork? Priceless artwork? Do we now have to put it ALL behind bulletproof glass? Not just the Pieta.
To: Destro
OK where can we get copies of the fresco?

> the five men were arrested Monday in the church itself, San Petronio Basilica, and were accused of criminal association with the aim of terrorism.
If this had occurred in the US, we'd immediately be treated to stories about how these are just silly people, not the real terrorists not the higher ups that we 'really' want.
Consider the shoe bomber thwarted- a funny, silly person, not a real terrorist. Consider the shoe bomber successful- an unstoppable mastermind, who is a super genuis at every step.

The Eastern Europeans have a backbone, too (the Poles and the Czechs have been very supportive, in the face of EU pressure to oppose us).
