I honestly believe that these laws would be here today, regardless of what the bible says. There are many laws in countries that are not Christian.

Right. Even without the Bible, almost all successful societies ban homosexuality, or at least supress it. By the way, why is it that abortion, pornography, pedophilia and homosexuality all seem to show up, throughout history, in societies at the same time, i.e. near the end? Symptoms of the same disease, IMHO.
