Honestly, I don't care about what our Arab neighbors think, seeing how most of them hate us as much as they hate Israel.
A better question would be whether Arafat represents the views of most Arabs who wear headcoverings.
My neighbor went to the airport a few months ago, an told me he was sitting on the plane and some guy came down the isle and sat right next to him. LOL! He said the guy looked like Yassar Arafat and smelled like a damn campfire.
My buddy says he took one look at him and walked off the plane, two weeks later he actually quit his job as it required flying....
