No need to contribute your hard earned dollars to Janet.

The operators of this website (Janet Reno Is Hot) would probably give her some cash if they knew how bad off she was...

Re your post #39 - Reno has all the support of gays in South Florida, and that is a considerable number of voters. The Dem leadership may not like it, but, she will be the nominee.

Florida law already regulates this. I belong to the United Teachers of Dade (I really hate the unions politics but they just got me a summer school job, so I can't really complain) But I fer DANG sure know that my dues don't go to liberal causes because of the law in Florida. When I joined I made sure they knew my stance. Too bad we Republicans are mere drops in a big bucket when it comes to teaching.

I thought perhaps I might change parties just for the primary, that way I could vote for Janet and still have time to change back before the general election. If Janet wins the nomination, she gets trounced by Jeb.

If McBride takes it Jeb is in B-I-G trouble especially in the decisive panhandle area. McBride is ex-military and a combat vet. He is supposedly progun and prolife. The major problem is that as a political neophyte he will be firmly under the thumb of the national party. I don't think the "porkchoppers" in the panhandle realize this.

Snow White, Hercules and Quasimodo are all hanging out jes chillin' in the forest. Snow White and the rest are miffed.

"I KNOW I'm the fairest maiden in all the world, yet I have no outside confirmation of this!" grouses Snow White.

Hercules pipes up with: "And I'm sure I am the strongest..but nobody else has told me..."

Quasimodo adds....and surely I'm the UGLIEST....but how do I know for sure?"

Snow White has a brilliant idea! "Hey! Why don't we all go home and talk to GOD! Surely he will provide the answers we all seek, and tomorrow we can all return here and share our knowledge!"

They all agreed and left for home to speak with The Lord.

The next day saw Hercules striding through the woods with his chest all puffed out and proud. He said: "God said I am the strongest in all the world!"

Snow is preening with excitement: HE told me I was the fairest of them all!"

Quasimodo is hanging his head and tears pour from his eyes and down his cheeks and he cries out in agony:
"WHO THE HELL IS JANET RENO????"

I contributed to Ralph Nader in 2000

Hee-hee, so did I. But I gave more to Bush, and volunteered on his campaign.

Actually, I donated to the Nader campaign, and I have not gotten a single piece of junk mail from them.

I don't know what you were apologizing for later, but no offense taken. (BTW, sarcasm re the flag jacket on Reno was what I was going for.)

There's another way to handle this. Let's not be so worried about McLawyer's run for office. He's filing his application to run tomorrow in Tally. He held an event on Sunday on Indian Shores Beach (Gulf Coast-Pinellas). Judging from the tv footage, all of his supporters there fit in a medium sized tent.

I'm on their email supporter list and they are planning a big press event when McLawyer returns to Pinellas from registering in Tally. This is a lukewarm man and he is a fundraiser but is not a leader type or a politician. I'd like to be on Broadway but it's not going to happen. He'd like to be governor - it's not going to happen.

Once we know who Jeb's opponent will be after September's primary, let's have our research in order and address their record or lack of one and their negatives with your friends and neighbors.

We must also keep cheerleading for Jeb because we will all need to be prepared to counter the vicious, false attacks that will be leveled against Jeb by the national dems and Fla. dems. Our ONLY GOAL is to get Jeb re-elected and we will have to play offense especially if the dems try to cheat.

Do not be afraid of McLawyer. He's just another corporate lawyer who used to brag about his ties to Arthur Andersen. FV

I think it will be Janet but I don't want anyone to be so freaked out about McLawyer. Governor Bush is such an asset for the State of Florida and shines in comparison to all the other contenders. I've never paid close attention to governor's races before but, first hand assistance from the governor's staff early on convinced me that he is very dedicated to "effective" public service.

Effective is one word I could easily use to describe Governor Bush. Regards, FV

You are right...tell your teacher friends that the Association of American Educators is a good alternative to the liberal NEA teacher's union.

Another great alternative is the Christian Educators Association.

Both offer lower dues, liability insurance and NO contributions to the socialist democRAT party.

I already have, with heartening results: About 5 or 6 like-minded colleagues in my high school have escaped the clutches of the NEA, as have several teachers at the middle school across the street.

We definitely need some Republican sugar daddy to come in and pass some laundered money Janet's way.

Be Seeing You,

Chris
