We already know that you don't like Republicans so why would any of us listen to what you have to say. As far as Austin goes, when is the last time that Travis County was considered a Republican stronghold?

Not to mention that in the past the election cycle in Texas kicks off Labor Day as the County Fairs are in full swing getting ready for the State Fair. If you are from Texas, you should know that! But why let that stand in the way of your continual trashing of Republicans.

Did you think that some of us have not noticed? LOL!!! Think again! Maybe you can point me to a thread you were on that you actually supported Republicans!

My I have voted Republican in every TX election in which I have voted since 1988, with the exception of a liberal Republican state senate candidate in 1996, when I skipped the race. Labor Day kickoff make good media hype, but if a well-funded opponent is running full throttle in early to mid summer, I think a serious incumbent would take note. The old rules don't apply when someone can write a check to finance his whole race if he wishes. It's not that I don't "like" Republicans: I get disillusioned with Republican inaction and complacency at the local, state, and national levels.
