Anstead and Pariente were a couple of goons who wrote the tortuous decision that was supposed to trump Florida Law and allow for recounts. Scalia jumped all over David Boise, in Public, as did Kennedy and O'Connor, when he tried to defend these two clowns.
Charles Wells, however, remains as Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court. He wrote the dissent to the Clown Car Court's decision that served as a basis in research for Scalia's clerks. Without Wells' dissent, things might not have gone the way we liked.
Wells gets my vote. At the end, he was willing to stand by the Laws and Statutes of the State of Florida. Like Sander N. Sauls, who recused himself rather than supervise what he believed to be an illegal recount, Wells upheld his oath at the end of the day.
Be Seeing You,
