There is a long standing controversy in McKinney/Fairview with regards to the airport. More than one in fact. One of them involves the local gun club, which is near the north end of the runway. The other involves Fairview residents who do not appreciate the jet noise. Unlike many such cases, most residents were there long before the airport was expanded to handle jets. They moved to what was then the boonies, in part for the tranquility, and now find themselves subject to jet noise from what they perceive as wealthy Dallasites and Dallas corporations.

It could be one of the disgruntled, or someone trying to discredit them.
