In the process of replacing my PC (building one) so I haven't been around too much. This article is interesting only concerning where the Adelphia board met today.
Kiss of death if I ever saw one...

It's interesting to me based on the fact that my husband WORKS for Adelphia cable. Not many decent paying jobs around here. God help us if he loses his job!

If anyone ever cheated a cable company, it is much like a robber robbing another robber. Cable companies like to rob programmers as well. Cable companies would underreport how many of their customers subscribed to premium channels therefore pocketing all of the revenue and not giving the premium service its contracted share. And of course there is a lot of dishonesty from movie companies who always take in a lot of money but overreport expenses so that they never make a profit, so that those that might have a share of the profit never get a return. The media food change goes on and on, and there is outright thievery at every level.

I wonder, if they go bankrupt, what happens to my internet service. TV I can live without but I gotta have my FR.

"Adelphia may have inflated cable customer total"
It's a Money Laundering thing.
Try Cox Communications also. I dropped their Dish service about 4-5 years ago. but I still get a Statement for $0.00 due every month.
Gotta Clean Up that Money. BTW, if you're not up on Money Laundering, there's some good stuff on the web, try Google. Restaurants, Movie Theaters, TimeShares, etc. are prime.

It's a widespread practice.
Charter Communications counts my local cable system as digital in their statistics, but it's totally bogus. Charter is 100% analog in Arkansas even though the systems have been rebuilt. Cable modems are years away. Charter stock is going down the toilet. Maybe the Wall Street analysts are starting to wake up to reality.
