"...He recognized their black robes and turbans, and saw their weapons in the debris of the flattened barracks. He counted nearly a hundred corpses, he recalled. Among them appeared to be Afghans and Pakistanis, Chechens and Arabs.

This story from the LA Times sheds light on how the Taliban sowed dis-information to the gullible left eager to buy into the notion that the US is an indiscriminate killer. The death of Taliban fighters were consistently reported as 'civilian' deaths and often inflated to boot. A recount [sorry couldn't resist using that word] shows that there were only about 1000 civilian deaths during the US offensive against the Taliban.

Too bad the left used these lies as disinfo anti-US propaganda for so long (and still will).

I'm suprised anyone at the LA Times had the guts to print that. They're almost as consistent in defending terrorists as they are defending Davis.

The real problem is that once a lie is told and believed, it's much harder to correct. Of course those leftist are already biased against the US.

I'm suprised anyone at the LA Times had the guts to print that.I think they may be trying to return to their philosophy & orientation of decades back: "Middle of the Road"

This is a very interesting story. It's well worth it to go follow the link and read the whole story. There's some interesting comments from former Taliban reporters.
