My son has Spina Bifida.

We found out at 21 weeks gestation and called The Childrens Hopital of Philadelphia. They performed an "in-utero" operation to fix the defect and he was then born at 26 weeks gestation. He survived and is so far in great health.

I am not sure the level of hydrocephalus but I would insure that your friend is being seen in a Childrens Hospital and I would call "1800 INUTERO" to =talk to Philadelphia about after birth repair and care. They are #1 in the world and most insurance companies work with them well.

Your friend will be in my prayers.
