This is the URL for USA Radio.com. They are currently displaying a visual "Breaking News" which states that the DC police are questioning "a man who was CONVICTED OF MURDERING TWO WOMEN in Rock Creek Park last year." And they are STILL reporting that on the news.
PEOPLE, PEOPLE, can't you see what they're doing?? The guy is serving ten years for assault, but the media now has him convicted for murder. Of course, NOW all the Conditit defenders will believe that Condidn't.
Talk about spinning the news!!! I just emailed them. Please do the same. This is an OUTRAGE.

PLEASE, PEOPLE, contact these morons and complain. They have been reporting all day on the radio that the man being questioned MURDERED two women. He's in jail for 10 years, for ASSAULT. Maybe this is an accident on their part, but it still seems like big-time spin. We can't let them get away with it.

He seems as likely as anybody to have assaulted and killed Chandra Levy. In fact, he'd be the first suspect on my list.

IMHO, I think the news is reporting this to "take the heat off of Condidit."
For what reason, I am not sure yet.

You're not getting it. The radio is saying that he MURDERED the other two women. HE DIDN'T!
They're making him look worse and worse to make people agree that, "YUP, he musta done it."
Gets Condit off the hook.
Get it?? It also programs the potential jury to think that Condit couldn't be a suspect.

wasting your time with non reputable sourcesThis source is the only news radio I can receive in this area. It serves about 500,000 people.
And that's just in my area. It's all over the country. And IT'S ALL I CAN GET.

That's our media!!!! The guy being questioned is probably innocent because he was found guilty of assault, not murder. Both assaults happened in the evening, one at 6:30 and the other at 7:30 which leads me to believe the guy had other obligations, such as a job during the day. It was also suggested that Ms. Levy's body might have been buried in a shallow grave which indicates premeditation. I doubt a regular assaulter would take a chance on killing a woman and then digging a grave knowing people might jog by any time. I think she was lured there by her killer or killers. Do women carry back packs and other crap when they jog? Maybe I am too old but I don't think I would want to listen to a walkman and not be aware of my surroundings even in so-called safe places. Chandra doesn't seem like a stupid person and jogging in a remote area with a radio in her ear doesn't appear likely.

Is Condit a suspect? I hadn't heard that he was, whereas this guy has a history of assaulting women in the very park she was assaulted in.
What is "USA Radio"? I've never heard of them.

http://www.usaradio.com/At least go to their website and see what I mean. AND...you can check out how big their market is. It's big.

I didn't see any Editorial staff listed on their site, so out of desperation, I sent a quick note to their poor Webmaster. Hopefully, he will pass it up the chain of command until somebody corrects whoever wrote that story.

Evidently, this guy wasn't in prison and available for questioning BEFORE they found Chandra's body.

Go look at their website. These people broadcast to many millions of people. Just because YOU haven't heard of them, doesn't mean NO ONE else has.
To: Mike K
No, this guy has been in prison since last fall, after the two women HE DIDN'T MURDER fingered him for assault.
Is NOBODY getting this?? THE MEDIA IS CHANGING THE FACTS TO MAKE CONDIT LOOK LESS SUSPICIOUS.
To: EggsAckley
I just emailed them also.
Thanks for posting.
Idiots!

For what reason, I am not sure yet.
Perhaps it is that all the semen samples collected in Condit's apartment belong to other Congressmen in Gary's sex club. I am assuming that people know of the numerous and varied MALE DNA samples that were found there during the long delayed apartment search.

I give up. I've got more important things to do than sit here and keep explaining this over and over.
I'll be back later to see if anyone figures it out. Lot's a luck.
Who knows, maybe honesty in media isn't important to anyone anymore.
Whatever
To: EggsAckley
Most likely, this is a case of bad editorial oversight over at the USA Radio network. I haven't seen any other networks suggesting that this guy is in prison for "murder," so I don't see this as anything sinister. Once the guys over at the radio network get the dozens of e-mails we send, they'll figure out what went wrong (and it would be helpful if you copy the full relevant AP articles to them) and correct it.

Actually it was reported on another thread that he was questioned last summer and is now being questioned again ..... and the story said only that he was being "interviewed" ... it did NOT call him a suspect.
So this radio report has it wrong in a number of respects. Not only did he not murder two women but, as of now, he is not a suspect in the Chandra Levy case.
For all we know, he is being asked if he saw anything or anyone suspicious.

I just loaded their page, and the headline is gone. Do they cycle randomly through a set of headlines, or is it always the same set of headlines when you load? (It always came up the same for me...)
